1. Sign-In Problems
You can sign in with your email and password, or with Google or Discord. If you cannot sign in:
- Check that your email address is spelled correctly.
- If you usually sign in with Google or Discord, use that same method — an email/password account and an OAuth account are separate identities.
- If you forgot your password, use the reset flow described in Section 2.
Phone sign-in is not currently available. If you still cannot sign in, email us at otakuquizllc@gmail.com.
2. Resetting Your Password
If you signed up with an email and password, you can reset your password by email:
- Open the password-reset request page from the sign-in screen and enter your account email.
- We will send a reset link to that email. The link expires after a short time, so use it promptly.
- Follow the link to the set-new-password page and choose a new password.
If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. If you sign in only with Google or Discord, you do not have an OtakuQuiz password to reset — reset your password directly with that provider.
3. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from inside the Service. On the web, open Settings; in the mobile app, open Profile. The flow:
- A permanent-deletion warning explains what happens.
- You reauthenticate to confirm it is really you.
- You confirm deletion.
- A progress and completion screen appears, and then you are signed out automatically.
If you cannot sign in, request deletion from our public deletion page at /delete-account, which includes instructions and a request path for users who cannot access their account. Deletion is permanent. Limited anonymized security or audit data may be retained, and any Founder Pro slot you claimed is permanently consumed and never reused.
4. Age Eligibility (13+)
OtakuQuiz is for users aged 13 and older. When you create an account, the age gate asks for your birth year and blocks account creation by anyone who indicates they are under 13. This check is enforced in the app, in the server action that handles sign-up, and in the database itself.
Users under 13 see a message explaining that they cannot create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at otakuquizllc@gmail.com and we will promptly remove it.
5. Privacy and Your Data
We collect only what is needed to run OtakuQuiz: your email address, username, the birth year used for age-gating, and your gameplay data (scores, XP, rank, streaks, badges, coins, leagues, duels, and cosmetics). The Service has no advertising and no third-party analytics today. The only service providers we use to operate it are Supabase (authentication and database) and Vercel (hosting); if you sign in with Google or Discord, those providers authenticate you under their own terms.
For the full picture, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Quiz Errors or Scoring Issues
All trivia questions are based on publicly known facts, but errors can slip through. If a question looks wrong, a correct answer is marked incorrect, or you believe a score, XP, rank, streak, badge, coin balance, league, or duel result did not credit correctly:
- Note the anime title, the question text, and what you believe is correct.
- Email us at otakuquizllc@gmail.com with those details.
We review reports and correct content or adjust records where appropriate. Coins and cosmetics have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
7. Reporting Content
OtakuQuiz is not affiliated with any anime studio. All questions are based on publicly known facts about works owned by third parties, and we claim no ownership of those works. If you are a rights holder with a concern about content, or you believe user-generated content (such as a display name) is unlawful, infringing, harassing, or otherwise violates our Terms of Service, contact us at otakuquizllc@gmail.com.
